FAQ
Wearing a Fajas is used to help achieve that “coke bottle” shape. Wearing a Fajas gradually moves the organs in the body down in a safe way while also bringing the bottom or “floating” ribs in and closer together resulting in a smaller waist. In addition, the faja strengthens your posture and lower back muscles, helps to reduce appetite, and when worn while working out can help to burn fat with a thermogenic effect on the abdomen.
Yes, wearing a Fajas is safe. No, it will not damage your organs when used correctly. There are a lot of myths out there about waist training. w only promotes safe waist training. The fact of the matter is when wearing a fajas there is a shifting of the organs that takes place. We have designed our sizing guidelines so that the shifting takes place gradually. You do not squeeze into a fajas that is too small for you. Trying to fit into a size too small can cause the garment to rip apart, long before any damage is done to your organs or any cracking of the ribs takes place. Wearing Fajas is often confused with a process that is known as tight lacing. Tight lacing is done with steel-boned corsets that you are tied into as tight as possible. That is completely different than our product. The gradual shifting of the organs is completely safe; our bodies are designed to do so (very similar to what takes place during pregnancy). A woman's organs will shift to accommodate the growing uterus over a 9-month period. When we gain weight and have a larger abdominal cavity, our organs will also shift to occupy the larger space. The same goes with waist training! When the space becomes smaller, the organs will shift accordingly to fit within the space allotted.
Measure your current natural waist (Just above your belly Button) and refer to the chart below *NOT BASED ON YOUR PANT SIZE
If you are borderline, size up to guarantee fit
Now that you have determined your size, purchase your fajas with confidence.
If you don't have a measuring tape, you can either measure yourself with a string then use a ruler to measure the string.
NO, The Faja size is NOT based on your pant size. You must measure your waist in order to determine what size faja to order. Use the chart to determine your size. For example, a 31" waist would be a size 36 Faja. (Your waist measurement is NOT the faja size)
NO, your waist measurement is NOT your faja size. Please refer to the chart to select your faja size. A person with a 34" waist would order a size 38 Faja. If you are borderline between sizes, size up to guarantee fit!
Our Fajas are designed to be tight, therefore it can be difficult to put on, especially the very first time. The best time to put your faja on is in the morning on an empty stomach. You may need help getting it on the first couple of times. It also is easier for some to put it on while lying down. Start with the first set of clasps. Start clasping from the bottom up. Once you get it all clasped it will/should feel very tight. It will be uncomfortable but it should not be painful. Discontinue use if you feel pain.
The more often you wear your fajas the quicker and more dramatic your results will be. It is recommended to start with 2 hours and work your way up to 8 Hours. Fajas can be worn as long as 12 hours a day, however, DO NOT wear your faja while sleeping. Once your faja begins to feel more “comfortable” it is time to graduate to the next set of clasps making the faja feel tight once again. If you desire to continue to shrink your waist you will eventually need to graduate to a smaller size faja.
Yes, In fact we encourage you to. The heat maximizes fat burn and assists with shrinking the fat cells in the abdomen. Our Workout Fajas can be worn while working out.
Yes, it will get sweaty and require more frequent washings. For those that are really committed to their waist training and want to wear it daily as well as wear it working out we recommend that you purchase A Faja for Working out and a WAIST TRAINER Faja for all other waking hours. Consider the Faja an additional undergarment, I mean you can't get by with just 1 bra, can you?!
There are 2 great ways to measure progress, First is to track your waist measurement. Before you begin wearing it, log your waist measurement and re-measure your waist every 2 weeks or so. Secondly, as you begin to graduate to the second, then the third set of clasps, and then to a smaller faja you will know this is because your midsection/waist is shrinking.
Depends on your desired results. If you would like to continue to minimize your waistline then yes. As you begin to reduce you will need to order smaller fajas until you achieve your desired result. Once you achieve your desired result you will keep using that faja long-term for maintenance.
Think about the Fajas as if it were putting braces on your teeth. The braces will straighten your teeth over time and then be removed when your teeth are straight, but in order to maintain them you need to wear a retainer at night. The Faja is very similar once you receive your desired results you will not have to wear it as much however it is recommended to wear it daily for shorter periods of time. If you end up not wearing it for a while you may need to start at the first set of clasps again but will quickly reduce as there is a memory effect that takes place.
We recommend that you hand wash it in warm water and lay flat to dry. Be sure to wash it before wearing it for the first time to prevent color transfer. Treat your faja as you would a really nice bra or lingerie.
